Hello all
Since last week I am the proud owner of a 1968 minor van. I transported the car to Belgium where I have to submit the car to a technical inspection before I can get the car on the road. One of the things they check is wether the paper work complies with the body of the car. However the identifiaction plate is missing so the chassis number can't be checked. Supposedly the number should also be stamped in the body of the car but I have no idea where to start looking for it. The car has undergone a paint job some odd years ago so the number might be concealed. Instead of scraping all the paint of the car, can someone let me know where to look for the stamped number?
Further more, in 2004 a new engine was installed but the paperwork hasn't been updated. The current engine number does not comply with the documents. Can this also be regulated?
Thanks for you response!
Guido
