I must be getting old because I have now been a member of the MMOC for 25 years!
My first national rally was at Weston Park and first MOT Interlaken.

Congrats
I've only been a member for 20 years (with a lapse whilst a student), but first national was also Weston Park.

Interlaken... I remember it well (not sure Mandy does, remember her hangover?!)
nb for MOT and MOT UK organisers... we took around 100 cars and made more money for charity than any other MOT.
Bits of the car I drove on that rally live on in my traveller today (RIP 2-door almond green saloon CGK 216H, and I still have your Masters Class Certificate)

I remember the 1st MOT to Fontainbleu. It rained..and rained..and rained until everyone else left the campsite then the sun came out and we packed our tent in the dry.
The 2nd MOT to Oudkarspel rained as well!!!!

Whilst you are reminiscing who is going on the 2010 MOT, never seems to get much of a mention on this site

Pity you didn't come to the anniversary celebrations last year, we had glorious sunshine!

Not me : that week is a busy time for our business and we can't get away for a week.

never seems to get much of a mention on this site
Possibly because there is a designated MOT website and messageboard:

which is several months out of date, and no-one posts there

I'm sure I'll be going as I normally do.
The Forum on the MOT site got taken down some time ago, not entirely sure why.
Although excessive moaning ring a bell.

Just had a look at that forum and it appears that there were some problems with the messageboard being used "to have a rant about some perceived injustice". Didn't realise that the facility had been removed though
However there's nothing to stop a thread being posted here about the MOT 2010 (there was one for last years trip) providing of course that people stick to the T&C's

I've been in the MG Car Club 25 years this year....does sort of make you realise that time is moving on (Though sometimes I reflect on just how much water has gone under the bridge). I remember when my grandfather had his 90th birthday, I asked him what 90 years felt like and he said "Not long when you look back on it"

. I was 27 at the time and I have never forgotten what he said. It's quite a long time since he told me that and I can see what he meant.
Some may call me a stick in the mud and I am a little set in my ways and reluctant to change (I might also call it contented) but having owned the same car all those years (Yes there have been others) provides a certain amount of continuity. With any luck, in another 19 years, I'll have owned the Traveller for 25 years.
