importing a car

Post by cadetchris »

after failing to find the car i want, i have decided to import one from the colonies.
However, i have discovered the amount of paperwork is daunting to say the least. Has anyone gone through this process? and could you give me some guidance on it please

I imported a Trabi from East Germany - just had to get a form pack from the DVLA, fill it in, get an MOT & insurance based on chassis number.
Then had to take all paperwork and old logbook to DVLA local office and queue up / hand over forms / pay.
