does anyone know how to test a spliter box , the none that makes the tail lights and side lights flash like indicators ?

The bulb wattage would be wrong. Side/tail lights are 5W stop/indicators are 21W.

My side lights flash as indicators, not sure how this is setup as it was like it when I bought the car.

Are you sure that you have not got dual filament 5/21W bulbs fitted?

Ah! No that is possible I suppose. Never thought of that. They might well be. Will take a look and let you know ;)

All minors built late '61 to early '64 had sidelights that flashed as indicators as standard, what sort of bulbs were they fitted with?

I have made up a unit just for this purpose. You can easily knock something up yourself by following the wiring diagram and utilising a few spare lamps and switches!!

This is Kennys convertible, I took the pics tody. Its really shaping up - almost ready for the road!! We fitted the windscreen today, went to put the plastic chrome insert in and the chrome just peeled off it. not what you expect with new bits.<br>
