Headlamp - high beam only

Hello,

One of the headlights only operates on high beam. Does this mean the sealed unit has failed in some way?

Yes it does - good news is that they ae only about £7 +vat from our suppliers. Check first that there are no loose connections and confirm it is the sealed beam unit by swapping over for the good one....

On closer inspection it looks like there's a blue tinge to the glass as well so feel sure it's blown.

For not much more money, about £30, you can buy a pair of halogen headlights and see where you are going. :o

Halogen upgrade is WELL worth the money if you do any after-dark motoring!
