I was just wondering if anyone had any experience of selling a car registration and how they found the experience ? What I really want to know is how long does it normally take to get a sale ?
I know it an impossible question to answer as each registration has its own merits and no doubt some registration never sell but stay on the sellers website for months if not years.
Just wondered in anyone had any first hand experience ????

There was a thread about this recently.
I think you may have to pay to keep it on retention.
Sales may well be slow at the moment due to the state of the economy
A BMW pulled up alongside me in the car park of Tesco in Haverfordwest today with the registration plate "35 K".
I had a chat to the bloke. He had bought the plate twenty years ago for £250 off a moped in Scotland, and reckoned that recently someone had offered him £35000 for it.
My mate has 'G 6' plate - can park anywhere in Glasgow without fear of a parking ticket. He is often asked if he will sell it - his standard answer is - "you can't afford it"!
I know but theres been so much rubbishing about V5 sales on here I thought i'd put the point across, what if someone bought a reg and used it illegally. Another scenario which wouldn't happen! I'll stop!
