the bottoms of my morris's doors have yet again rusted from the inside outwards. i have soaked the inside with waxoly and completely derusted and painted liberally with hammerite, yet it keeps happening.
any ideas how to preserve the bottom of my doors for longer than 2 years?

A good repair should last over 10 years if the car is garaged and the repair done correctly. Make sure that the drain holes are clear to drain away the water that 'will' enter the door frame
All bare surfaces of the door repair area must be sprayed with weld through zinc primer before being assembled and welded. You should clean up the welds afterwards, sandblast or wire wheel, till spotless then lightly coat on the zinc paint . You must buy over paintable zinc primer, do not use red oxide as this is oil based and will cause issues with etch and then primer and top coat. Always seam seal the welds internally so that water cannot collect in the swaged joint inside the door repair. After painting, waxoyle or the like on the inside of the door.
