I'm thinking of buying a green four door 1958 Morris Minor and I was wondering what the correct colour of the interior (seats and carpets) should be for the year and make ?

This is the car that was for sale in Stanford Hall two years ago that spent its life in Africa and the interior is African made - black seats and beige carpets (excellently made). But I was wondering what the correct interior colour should or would have been ? Is black seats correct ?

Click on the Links to the left and go to the Potteries branch. All details of interior are there. All the green cars I've ever seen have had some form of green interior with exception of the procelain green which had a beige one (1961)

1958 minors could come in dark green and would have had light grey seats (almost white) and black carpet

Grand. I was just wondering what the standard was. The car I was looking contains the following interior. I think the seats and door cards, and the carpets were covered and made during the cars time in Africa.

as you say the carpet does look good.. the drivers seat looks to have seen better days.. i would be tempted just to change that and keep it as is.. all adds to the interesting story about the car, would seem a shame to lose it
