the car is not road legal as of now, needs the modifications certified and then the normal warrent of fitness check and rego, but that will happen after i get the wiring loom done and telescopic shock absorbers all around.

So not road legal, = no insurance. No matter how good and fun the car looks, the escapade was utterly irresponsible, illegal, and reprehensible; not to be condoned in any way at all.

yes mum. no compulsary insurance in nz anyway. the only thing not up to standard on the car is no rear lights.
