There's a scary bit in the "interesting facts" section along the lines that the sale of Morris Minors was banned in CENTRAL SCOTLAND due to the inhabitants habit of dangerously (sic) modifying the brakes and suspension!!!

Does anyone know the author of this inventive write-up?

my favourite quote has to be

"Morris Minors came from the factory complete with an official BMC Calendar to aid the owner in measuring the car's 0-60 MPH time."

The bit about a Minor briefly establishing a new land speed record until it was realised the speedo was dodgy... could only have been writ by a moggy owner!

"Owners who lived in flat areas such as the English Fens or Holland could purchase cans of Brake Fade which allowed them to experience the true Morris Minor driving thrill."

"Sir Izzywizzy anticipated global warming in the design of the windscreen wipers, having optimised them for desert conditions"

 :D
Yes the writer obviously has had lots of experience with the minor, it may only be a joke article but it is very well written!

The cars are much loved by old people, who appreciate the lack of speed, inadequate brakes and pleasant fart from the exhaust at every gear change. They are, however, held in contempt by the owners of more modern cars, who have invented a new rule for the Highway Code - "You MUST, at any cost, be in front of any car that is older than yours".
Very true!

A very amusing read, and obviously, at least in part, writen by somebody who knows Moggies.

Its a wikipedia type thing, if you have an account you can write what you like.

Its a shame though that somebody has removed the reference to "drinking Jack Daniels" whilst the car was being designed

Its a very entertaining site

No two wings were ever made exactly the same size. This true reason for this is believed to be hidden in the Pyramids. Curious Shamens known as Fettlers, wielding ceremonial lump hammers and shrieking strange curses and making blood sacrifices are required to perform mystical dances to the gods of geometry before a wing may be successfully offered up.

Haha, I loved that. I'm sat at work supervising an exclusion room called the Quiet Room, but the kids kept looking up wondering what I was laughing at.

Anyway, hi everyone, it's been a while!
