Hi All
This is my first post on here. I have been a member for a while though.
I'm on the hunt for speaker locations in my 2 door Morry.
I was thinking about the box under the front of the backseat or even in the rear cards.
Has anyone else got some good ideas?
Thanks heaps
Libbor

Welcome to the forum

You could put speakers in the quarter panels to the side of the front parcel shelf or to prevent cutting any holes in the door cards you could put 'shelf' speakers on the rear parcel shelf.

The panels either side of the parcel shelf are indeed a handy location for speakers, there is a hollow in the panel which will accomodate a 5in speaker on cars with the large parcel shelf and a 4in speaker on cars with the small parcel shelf
However the original panel is not strong enough for a speaker so I would recommend making new panels from hardboard and securing them with extra screws

On my original Series II Four Door I found there were two circular holes in the bottom of the dash which fitted large speakers perfectly mounted facing downwards. Haven't checked my current car (and it's freezing here so can't be
BOTHERED (modded by Rogerrust) going out to the garage to check!) but assume it's the same

Unless you fit a "woofer blaster" you won't hear it anyway, besides the engine is far more pleasant to listen to.

Would say on a saloon that speakers are best on rear parcel shelf and they can be fitted to the underside of the dash at the front

As a winter project I'm going to attempt to fabricate some replacement rear quarter panels from alloy sheet with 6x9 speakers set in and burgundy leathercloth covering.
