Does anyone have any step by step or photographic guide as to how to cut out the rotton section of a boot and weld in a repair panel correctly ?????

If buying the repair panel, do not buy the Hadrian one. The C.Ware one is far superior in both shape and correct dimensions.

No bother. I was looking at another (nameless) companies website who have them all photographed and priced. I'll try and find the one you mentioned. I was told it had to be spot welded (not seam) along its length. Anything else I need to know ??

Spot welding will cause less distortion, but I'd seem it mainly because you will need to skim fill the repair and seeming reduces the chance of movement and splitting of the filler.

Some dubious techniques but the general idea is sound....

Jez, blokes a butcher. The main swaged repair must be seam welded. Drop me an email Ian and I'll send you some pics. Use the link above as a 'how not to' video.

Will do, thanks. The methods looked a bit crude all right.
