I have always fancied one of these and have just treated myself to this. Its tax exempt, runs a supercharged rover v8 and I love it to bits.

The moggy has been neglected for the last few days but not forgotten.

I've just read this post and it is good to see like minded folk on here. I am building a Crendon (Cobra Replica) in my garage at home and have just bought an MM Convertible which needs some restoration.

The MM as you know has about 30 BHP and some torque from the 918cc sidevalve engine whilst the Crendon is powered by a big block Ford V8 of 7,400cc with 510 BHP and 550 Lbs ft of torque (at the moment).

Psychologists out there will be have a field day!

Regards Ian

No room for the kids or the dogs: no roof so the wife's hair would get messed up so she would not ride in it - basically, a bloke's heaven on wheels

I just hope you cobra guys drive them as they should. I couldn't believe the number of exotica out on the roads on Saturday when I was out for a blast on my bike that were being driven like an upright Ford Pop.
A TVR in front of me left rubber on leaving the 30 limit - I followed (easily), then he braked sharply to 50 to negotiate a corner, then the same pattern continued till I got fed up and left him for dead.
Porches, Astons, BMW's - all the same. As was said on American Grafitti - "jeeze what a waste of machinery"
I agree with the comment above - dodge the kits and get a fast minor.

Pete

I drive it just the same as my minor; with respect and care and obeying the law.

And as for dodge the kits and get a fast minor I already have one!

Perfect answer.

Having nearly killed myself in things with 50bhp I'm sure I wouldnt last 2 minutes in one of these. Still, as I passed St Peter in a ball of flame - I know I'd be smiling! :D

Good answer
I'm the same
However, in the wet I have to drive with extreme caution - don't know why.
