sounds a bit like Eric Olthwaite's mum's black puddings - "so black, even the white bits were black"

Navy blue or black with piping to match the exterior colour might look good.

If as Kevin says its Highway Yellow like this car

it should have duo tone blue and silver beige like this, produced in limited numbers for a short time and therefore pretty rare
If it was the original colour it could be Limeflower (a slightly darker yellow - bit like pale mustard) This would have either had a black interior or a navy blue. It depends on the year of the car. The Highway yellow (v. pale yellow) was only used for about 18 months from about mid 1960/1961/2 If it is either colour they are quite rare now.

regretably its not the original colour, its original livery was the rather plain blueish green that dosent weather all to well. so, in dads opinion it should be something special so he chose jauguar primrose yellow (just because he had seen an e-type in our village in the same colour and was therefore easily impressed and he was paying for it, so i had to obey the man with the money)
