Rear wheel arch repair

Hi

I notice that there is available a Rear Arch repair flange for the Traveller, I can see from the picture on ESM website that the upper part of the flange screws through the panel into the timber, but not how the other flange attaches itself to the top of the rear wheel arch. The reason I ask there must be at least 12 inches of rust so there is a bit of a gap, and I am wanting to seal the thing before the wet weather. Also does it effect the MOT

Any thoughts much appreciated.

Regards

Richard

This is a panel that is to be welded in place of the outer part of the inner wheelarch. To replace a rusted out section.

Not quite sure what your asking, if you mean can this just be screwed in as a cover over the existing rust, then no its a welding job.

And I would say - unless your MOT manis very lenient - it WILL fail the MOT if not welded in. Certainly my rear seat belts fix to the arch panel - so anything within 300 mm is considered vital.
