Looking for “NAL 662”

Post by davemurfin »

Hi,

In 1952 my Granddad bought a brand new Morris Minor which he kept for several years; it’s the car my Dad (now 75) learned to drive in. I would love to find out where the car is now. I know the car was still on the road less than 10 years ago because my Dad spotted it and had a conversation with the owner.

It is a Grey 2 door registration number NAL 662

Any help much appreciated

Dave

Cheers for the search Steve :D

In your experience, does date of liability 01/03/94 suggest it's been scrapped or is it just that this was the last time it was taxed prior to the tax expempt status for classic cars being introduced? I'm sure my Dad spotted it on the road after this date.

Thanks,

Dave

Dave, you still have to tax classic cars just like you would tax a normal car. Except it is free. Normally in this case yes it could be scrapped or has just been laid up somewhere to graze, or in a garage somewhere awaiting restoration. It most definately hasn't been on the road legally since 1994. :( Sorry.
