Could someone tell me please, as a newbie, what the funny clip affairs are ? What purpose/ function do they serve ?
Situated at the bottom of the inner wings ( outer wings removed ) by the hinge/ B post covers.

they are on the A posts and are there to pack out the front wing to stop it goinf to far in

Thanks for the quick reply.
The metal springs are in "good health" which is more than be said for the rest of the metal in that area.
A lot of repair sections purchased / fabricated on Friday, cranking up the MIG for some serious action on Monday 8.00 a.m.Weather forecast looking good.
