Your fave sandwiches

Post by Peetee »

1. Bacon in tiger bread doorsteps
2. Tuna, and peppers with mayo in sunflower seed bap.
3. Banana in white sliced loaf [washed down with a glass of milk].
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

Not really sure but I reckon that the bread makes the sandwich. Nice fresh bread is more important than the filling.

Candidates for best filling:-

Caerphilly cheese, roast beef, smoked bacon, ham, raspberry jam, honey.....not all in the same sandwich!!

Meat pie muffin - pie by Hollands of Baxendale. Just the right size for a northern muffin - first you drink the juice from the pie by biting a small hole in the pastry, then you place it on the bottom part of the muffin and squash it with the top part......it squoodles out nicely out to the edge of the muffin.
Butter a must! Pickled onion optional. Brown sauce usually.

Ham salad in plain white bread or a roll, I'm a simple person, in more ways than one!

There isn't much I'll turn down though.

You meant your cucumbers are not veggie :o

A sausage sarnie is best followed by bacon & mushroom one.

Or for a change a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon
Cheers

Cheese marmite and sausage sarnie
But as previously mentioned bread has to be top quality and sausages must be of named meat ( I mean actual pork not named as in fido)

Large soft multi seed roll, with egg mayo, cress (or rocket) and sliced tomato

Crusty baguette with Brie and grapes, and apple slices on the side

Onion bagel with 2 x quorn non-chicken slice, leerdammer slice, emmental slice and coleslaw.

After beer - fried egg and tomato sauce. Banned myself from drunk cooking after a big fire in the kitchen
