is cellelouse paint any good for morris minors as i was told that it is absolutely rubbish paint can someone help me please.

who ever told you cellelouse paint is rubbish their rubbish.

I have sprayd mine in celle with no problems at all. If you put enough on you can produce a greate finish with cutting paste.

There is no "rubbish" paint, only rubbish painters! Celly takes a bit of a knack, mainly because you have to mix it very thin to get a good finish, which means you need a light "tack" coat first to hang the following coats onto, otherwise the whole lot runs and you end up thinking it's rubbish! Spray it with too thick a mix and you will get dramatic orange peel effects, which take a fair bit of elbow grease to flat down. OK for that authentic mid 70's "couldn't give a damn" finish as applied in most car plants, in between strikes!

Mine looks great in cellulose, it does give the car a more authentic look if done properly. Cellulose does fade over time, unlike more modern paints. ;)

So - what paint DID they suggest is NOT 'rubbish' ??

Probabally 2 pack sprayed at home.....

I daresay it was a throw away remark, prompted by a mess they once made of some spraying!

Point of my post being that you should never sprak 2k at home....

If you get it done, it gives a very shiny hard wearing finish but really really really do not try at home.

Celly is pretty much the best DIY paint out there

Also arguably more authentic looking than a mirror finish!

Even to the extent of replicating orange peel if desired......
