Best suppliers of panels (and parts in general)

I'm hearing a lot that new replacement parts/panels are sometimes a bit shoddy (TV shows on discovery, and classic magazines).

What do people think are good suppliers of minor panels or does it depend on the part and the supplier (different suppliers for different parts)?

We are not allowed to say on here if we have received bad parts from a particular supplier - only if we have received good parts. Some pattern stuff sold by a lot of suppliers is rubbish and also some of the supposed "original" parts. My advice is to search ebay and autojumbles for genuine NOS parts and also talk to individual suppliers and ask them about the quality of the parts you are looking to purchase.....

"New Old Stock" ie original parts that have not been used....

New Old Stock - parts never fitted to a car but probably manufactured late '60's early '70s. Much better than some of the repro panels made now. Usually found when someone has a garage turnout or an old garage closes and the new owner finds them in the back of a stock room.

NOS means "new old stock". It has never been used before but was made a few years ago.

aaah, that clears that up then! :)

I understand why we can't label "bad" suppliers, but I'd be grateful for people sending me a PM if they have had real bad experiences with any ones in particular.

Cheers,
