Hello,

I've got a 1275 sprite engine which had no breather on the timing cover which led to a few oily deposits on the roads in the Felixstowe area.

I've now got a cover with breather (£3.99 off ebay!) which I have fitted and connected to the inlet manifold - works well.

BUT - I currently have a servo connected there. I've got used to the servo now and would like to keep it.

Can I use a Y-connector to connect both of these to the manifold without unduly affecting the vacuum and without getting oil etc in the servo?

There is no connector for the breather on the carb either.

Well - I hope you have the breather connected through a very small hole ?? I did this - but with a 1/8" hole in the connection to the manifold. Yes - you can fit a T or Y connector - and use the servo from the non-breather connection. But - I have to say it would really be better if they had separate connections to minimise risk of any oily fumes going into the servo and damaging it's seals. I would drill and tap a small connection for the breather - and put the servo back where it was.
