Hi

Does anyone have a valve spring compressor [for a sidevalve engine] anywhere near Studham in Bedfordshire please?

For loan, of course or hire.

Needed for the weekend ....

Will be very grateful for any help.

that looks a fairly standard valve spring compressor.. my dad used a standard one when doing his side valve MO engine.. so you should be able to buy them from your local motor factors, probably cheaper than highering one. or spending the money on petrol picking it up from roger .. if that is any help

It is the depth of the clamp that is important. It has to reach in to the valve. If you have trouble contact me, I have the original compressor for the job. Do you need any other gaskets beside tappet chest, eg manifold, exhaust joint?
