Sorry - but I reckon it looked much better as it was ! All I see is hubcaps removed - and grille/wheels painted black ? And it may be sitting slightly lower - but you will soon get fed up with it constantly hammering the bump stops.

Talking of suspension, that blue pickup in the foreground looks like it could use some work :D

Oh yes, I see the suspension now.
That pickup as really funny to watch - if i remember rightly, it has LOW N DIRTY in the back window and has airbags on the back only xD

Hotrodder 13 I much prefer the new version, and don't worry about the bumpstops if you have cut them down and only lowered by 1 spline.

i have lowered by 2 splines but the drivers side is higher then the passangers so i am going to put the passangers side up with the adjuster plate. and thank you.

Blimey - a well 'wandered ' thread! It's gone from a car with no hub-caps, to whether or not there should be holes in an LCV bonnet! Excellent!!

Let it settle for a week or two before you go adjusting it again or you will be in for one of those 'chair leg syndrome' affairs.

Yes, people do have a tendency to wander off topic :-? I've now separated the posts relating to Ondergard's query about the van in Pembroke and set up a separate thread, so this one can stay focussed on hotrodder's car.

The van thread is here for those that want to discuss holes in bonnets:

like the lowered look, how easy is it to do? does it require different leaf springs etc?

front is adjustable, but will increase the bump steer unless you add an aftermarket kit to reduce that.
Rears can be done with a kit including longer U bolts and spacer blocks - the main problem with the rear is there is not enough room for suspension travel. Reducing the size of the bump stops will help but there are limits.

i was taking it apart anyway so thats why i decided to lower it but it was easy. on the front you just need to move the splines on the torsion bar and that back had an ally block. thats all. and my plans are to paint it black and have all new chrome work.

FYI: there is a platers in the industrial estate on Bold St (entrance off Aqueduct St, right by the bridge) ... it may be worth getting my chrome done at the same time so that they only have one lot of vats to fill.
