I'm probably being really thick ...

Post by Annierat1 »

... but can anyone point me in the right direction to find some information about the Isle of Wight rally in September? I can see it mentioned on the Railway's website, and I can find the Isle of Wight club web site, but it seems to be stuck in 2004.

If anyone can point me in the direction of any more information (ie application forms, info about the day such as times, who can attend, camping options etc) I'd be really grateful.

Ta muchly

Hi Annette
to save you any more frustration if you look to the left in the menu there is a What's on section, click on it and all will be revealed

Ahhh yes, but I know when it's is on, and I know where it is, I just need to know a bit more about it, such as times, entry forms, is there camping etc etc. There's not a lot on the Railway site about it specifically :)

Excellent - thank you, just what I needed to know. TBH we're only in Brighton anyway, so not the end of the world if we get turned away/have nowhere to stay, but with a three year old I like to have plans! :-)

I think like most ferries the price depends on when you want to travel. You can get quotes online though - just Google isle of wight ferries.

Depends where you travel from too.

The two main companies are wight link and red funnel...

I think WL have more car ferrires. Mainly from Lymington and Portsmouth...

Hi again

One last quick question if I may ....
neiltomlinson wrote:hi annette we have been going to the isle of wright for many years now good rally. you can camp from friday to monday only £3.50 per day no nead to book we dont you can get good discount on the ferry crossing
.. does the camp site have loos, or are you supposed to bring portable ones? We tried the new tent the weekend and survived, so are keen to attend the IoW rally, but it's going to be a very tight squeeze in the trav as it is.

I did mail the railway last week, they replied saying they'd pass my query on, but not heard anything yet ...

Thanks again!
