Traveller Rear Door Lock Assembley

One of the wee L-shaped brackets that the pin (the thick one that essentially locks the rear doors) runs through has come off the back door of my traveller. I would just screw the screws back in but they are hidden behind the pin which goes through the bracket.

Any tips on fixing this??

Think you need to take it all off - repair the damage - the refit the lock! It would surely only 'come off' if the timber is rotten ?

Well it had come loose and the I tried to tighten the screws and they are just spinning. Think they have just threaded the wood over the years.

So - you need new wood! Or fatter screws!!

Yeah...or...just move the bracket up a bit. Not a difficult job, it will cut down on a rattle though!!

Yes - you could do that.

I drilled and fitted plastic screw plugs where necessary.
