Picked up the splitscreen from Charlie Morris Minor - Thanks!!! With a bit of research it transpires that its a 54 series II, although the V5 states first regisration as 57 so some further digging required there I feel.
Its been hacked about a bit, so its going to need some attention! I dont know a huge amount about the early cars so I'm going to have lots of questions coming up!
Initial assesment as follows
Driverside only so far
front wing - too bent to be saved
Inner wing - what inner wing?
A post - needs a bit of attention - door flexes up and down
Sill bottoms need replacing - not yet been able to get the sill covers off to asses true state...
Crossmember end needs replacement
Spring hanger needs replacement.
front crossmember needs refitment (as there isn't one at the moment!)
The boot floor isn't too bad at the ends but needs repair in the middle.
Interior wise the seats are in reasonable nick and should come good with a good feeding and a re-web.
The dashboard is fubar'd where someone has hacked it about to fit a different speedo in the middle (anyone know what the middle of the dashboard should look like without the cover bit)
Wiring needs to be completly ripped out (to say some of whats been done is dodgy...)

The car seems to be reasonably sound overall so the plan of action is to strip the wings off and do all the welding nessecary there. Then spin the car on the bumper mounts to do the underside (we are pretty confindent that there is enough strength there to do it....) Normal style roller wont work as I've only got a single garage to work in.
Overall, very pleased and what can I say, the price was right
