Trophies and other thoughts

Post by RogerRust »

We used to have some awards at web rallies remember the over riders I mounted on bases.

How about someone else donates, recycles or makes a trophy. We could then award it at web rallies. I'm thinking of something the winner holds for a period then returns to the trophy coordinator (position currently vacant) or brings to the next rally.

Whoever donates the trophy can say what its for, best newcomer? best in show? wreck of the day? longest journey?

Another couple of ideas.

1)Let's book the dates for two web rallies for 2010 now! and get Jon to put them in the what's on listing. Then we can advertise in Minor Matters.

2) We need to up our profile in the club so we need regular a input to Minor Matters about our meets. Can we have a volunteer keep this in mind?

Roger, I'm more than happy to sponsor/supply all trophies for the Web rallies. If you can come up with a list of classes then I'm sure that we can come up with some suitable designs (not too many mind)
I cannot attend all rallies unfortunately but the trophy coordinator could keep them. Hope this is of interest. We have made trophies for the National in the past few years.
If this breaches T ans C's please let me know.

Roger - good idea about advertising future Web rallies, and I'm certain Stephen will put it in the diary for MM if we plan ahead. Perhaps we could ask Rosie if we could submit a report in the Branch News section to raise our profile as well?

Jonathon - I'm certain it wouldn't breach any T's and C's After all AON/FJ sponsor the National
