I was thinking of getting a compressor for using ratchets, sanders etc and was wondering if anyone knew what to look out for when buying one. Baring in mind that i would probably spend less than £200 on one. If anyone has any experience they would like to share about using them etc please do tell.
Thanks

My ALDI compressor is good - didn't cost much. WOLF also seem to have a deal going at the moment - for ~ £130 includes lots of accessories.

But the advert in the paper on saturday was a much better deal than shown here!

Make sure you have enough free air delivery, which is not the same as displacement.
I've got a Clarks 3hp compressor (That's the maximum on single phase). I've owned it since 1996 and it has given no problems. I use it for powering a small blast clean cabinet and the wax injection gun. As I have access to a three phase Hydrovane and a Guyson blaster, my home compressor doesn't get heavy use (But there is a big difference between the professional kit and my stuff).
Don't forget a couple of moisture traps - don't want your air tools rusting!!
