Hi. I have been a member since the Spring, but have only just bought a Minor - please be gentle with me!
What is the form when asking questions about a specific car? Is it normal to include full reg. nos., engine nos. etc, or is the convention to asterisk the last two or three digits?

Hi Duncan, welcome to the site.
With regards to the car details it depends on what information you require. If it's general maintenance type questions the year and body style will usually be sufficient. You might need to post the engine or chassis number, but again it would depend on the question. You shouldn't need to post your reg number unless you are looking for previous owners, history etc. There is no 'convention' as such - just post your question and you'll get a quick response. If further info is required someone will soon let you know

OK Dean
Why when I come back to the forum after a period away, do I have to log on again?
I have checked the "log on automatically" box.

When you are next logged in, Log in from the main menu on the left hand side, it should be at the bottom. I find this way works for me. ;)

Is there a link or sticky about uploading photos to the forum?

Just use the Upload picture facility just underneath where you type in - click on Browse to select the picture.
Its quicker if you make sure the picture isn't too big, but the system will resize to 640x480 if the picture you load is any bigger.
