Lime Flower Traveller on eBay
I just wondered if anyone else had spotted the "Lime Flower" coloured traveller for sale on eBay? It seems to have attracted a lot of attention. ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1971-MORRIS-MINOR ... 1|294%3A50 )
One very interested bidder is in Germany - I'm sure he'd look after it if he won the auction, and maybe I'm just being stupid, but I think it'd be kind of a shame to have it taken away from its homeland - especially as it might be quite an exsquisite example!
I've NEVER seen this colour before.

Limeflower was used late in production so is a reasonably rare colour but I've seen quite a few on the rally fields.
I much prefer this bedouin beige traveller with autumn leaf interior also on ebay. A better colour combination in my view (and rarer):

Classic cars deserve loving homes - wherever the owner lives. ;-)
It'd be a shame if Germans never got to see how much better the Minor is than beetles etc...

I thought I liked all minor colours apart from Rose T.
Bedouin is added to the dislike list!
Limeflower is great on a traveller (in my eyes)

it's... hard to say from that angle ;-)What is it?
I cheated slightly as the woody* is rare compared to the saloon - and any early 50's car is rare anyway!
*chosen for its Minoresque styling, which it doesn't have at the front! Not chosen for the colour, but Bill would like it ;-)
ps - sorry, had been looking at the 'guess the car' thread and got carrried away!

I haven't had a breakdown since the 2007 LEO (unless I've forgotten one), so I think I'll take the risk :pRay - next time you break down remind me to drive right past you in my "Rose Taupe" Traveller!
At least i know the pickup is a VERY popular colour - as proven at this year's national rally:

I know what it is, its German for one, DKW, the predecesor of Audi and its model is the nicely named Meisterklasse or F89.rayofleamington wrote:it's... hard to say from that angle ;-)What is it?

I wouldn't normaly know a German motor but I made a website on classic Audis for college this year!

As for tyhe Minors in here, I like both the Limeflower and Beige, but I love 1970s colours so its unsuprising I'd like Limeflower. The beige is far easier on the eye and the interior is gorgeous.

The woody model is a 'universal' and despite the rear door looking like 2 traveller doors, it's a single side hinged one.
Actually it was supplied in 'Aqua*', which is a VERY rare colour for an LCV - maybe rare as in 'not very popular' ?Must have been supplied in primer and painted by the company that got it
*green but the kind of green that milky mint sauce in an indian restaurant would be
