Does anyone recognise this model?

Not the woman - the car!

I'm sure I should know what it is but it annoys me every-time I see the magazine. From the headlamp and indicator it looks British.

Looking at the beach it might be wise to consider antipodean versions of Brit cars too.

Ver similar but the grille and chrome strip down the side look different - The chrome strip looks Wolseley / Riley ish....

The grille is the wrong shape. In the first picture it is an oval shape not a half moon one. Plus look at the body panels - where they shut for the bonnet - they're totally different.

It was made in Britain in 1953!

Not Wolseley or Riley.

I was thinking Nash / Metropolitan- but without a side view that's a very basic guess! The colour is a bit subtle for that though.
Were they made in uk? I know they used UK running gear but can't remember if the different' styled body was made here or in the USA.
