For those who have upgraded to later running gear (i'm sure there are one or two) what did you do about speedos?

I'm assuming the little speedo on the drivers glovebox lid isn't any cop for different gearboxes and transmissions...

My sister ran a 52 MM with 1098 running gear for many years with the original speedo. She soon got used to what indicated speed was what so no different to changing the diff in a later car

Provided you stick to a 4.55 MM/948 diff the speedo will be OK
For an 803 speedo you are stuck with a 5.375 diff

I'm yet to find out exactly what year the car I am looking at is but its not currently got any running gear (bar back axle) and I'm torn between going totally standard (which I suspect will be more expensive) and more "modern" and therefore more drivable....
