Another new friend for my 53 MM

Post by ian.mcdougall »

Hi all
Aquired another Traveller last Saturday in better chassis condition than the last one but timber will need replacing. Will try to get brakes sorted, seal the rain from getting in wood gaps, and on the road. After a year of owning 53 MM had not decided on gender or name but has got jealous of new arrival, thrown a fit ,had a tantrum, and blown a gasket (literally a head gasket) so could it be female  :o  sorry ladies. Have gasket in stock and am in process of changing it

New friend looks nice. 53MM should have been called Edana which means Fiery in Gaelic. Hope you manage to sort her head out. To cause such jealousy the new one is obviously female as well :D

(We're not all that bad really!!!)

My Mum was Irish and hence lots of Irish relatives - that's the only reason I knew of this name :D I'm not that familiar with Co Mayo but know Sligo better. I've travelled the road from there up to Enniskillen many times. Bit of a wild place with plenty of wild females   ...often called Mary!

Mum was called Teresa, her sisters Dympna, Ethna, Nora, Annie, May and her brothers John, Patrick and, Allowishes :o .... can't remember the other one!

I know - its mad!! On top of that my Dad was called Newton Cecil Hunter and I remember being really embarrassed about that when I was at school. Now of course I think it was rather a stately name ! (obviously not Irish - he was from Norfolk!)

You're absolutely correct Lou - I thought my spelling looked odd - must have reverted to the phonetic alphabet

 I had a great-great Uncle called Hezikiah! All Biblical names - he was one of 13 from the Welsh side so mostly names without vowels :o
