I am trying to locate an old English white, 4 door Moggy with red upholstery. The registration number is AFW 81A. It used to belong to my wife before I meet her and she only sold it because she needed the money and was heart broken to have to let 'George' go. He was sold in the Lincoln area around 2000-1 and even if he is not for sale I would love to track him down for her. I would really appreciate any information on his where-about. Thank you.

The car is also insured. I would have read the DVLA info as showing the car as actually being insured as the date of liability (ie; when the tax is due) as being December 2009. Perhaps I misinterpreted it though.

It's out there!!!!

Good luck.

No - it's Taxed! But either way - it's obviously still around. If you have 'good cause' DVLA will send the owner's details for a small fee. However - that 'good cause' may have to be that it was parked on your land and you wnat to send them a FINE - or that it bumped into you and drove off - something like that. They may very well not accept that you simply want to speak to the owner! You could try - that as a previous owner - you have found documents/past history/maintenance records - something like that - and you want to pass them to the current owner. that 'may' work - but once you have played your hand - that's it - you can hardly go back with another story!

I have removed the other two identical posts and moved this to 'Do you know' where it should be.
