They do appear to be a good cross section but why the 3 dozen of the Moke was it even one of our members.

Maybe because they tried to catch all the different driving teams... and their interesting facial expressions ;-)

I'm sure someone would have done a risk assessment and filled the paperwork in triplicate before anyone was allowed near the track

I realise that we were driving at a slightly quicker pace, but the liability rules required helmets and long sleeves inc seat belts. We also had to get everyone to sign a disclaimer. Strange that the rules were so relaxed for this event. We would have taken part with the website group but the event did seem a tad unorganised at first, maybe next year if the oportunity arises.

I think the people in the Moke look really silly!! But then again I probably would have look even more silly in my pick-up on that track. Next time

I was going to pilot the trav round, but it started making funny noises when braking - nothing too terrible and it still stops ok so I opted not to thrash it round and took an easy journey home...

Kevin,
That isn't me in the picture!

And it isn't me that took my car round the track in the afternoon.
I took the car round in the morning but did not dress up like the stig!

Returning to the original point (sorry), each team had three different drivers so I suppose he got snaps of each of us driving - which is why there are so many! I'm the one in the flobadob hat.
Likewise I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that there was no safety brief, helmets and the insistance of seat belts. But hey, let's not put ideas into the heads of the Health & Safety brigade!

I feel sure that these aspects would have been fully investigated for public liability insurance purposes during the rally's organisation. The club is highly unlikely to risk an HSE investigation should there have been any mishaps.
