Fuel tank pickup, how can i fix it?

It seems to be leaking air at the top of the pickup or possibly where the tube goes through the tank

How can I replace/fix the fuel pickup so that it doesn't leak? Is there an easy way to get into the tank to fix this?

The pickup pipe itself is unlikely to be leaking. I'd guess it would be leaking at the joint between the fuel pipe and the pickup pipe.

When the fuel pipe fitting is screwed into the tank it clamps the pipe against the end of the pickup pipe - with the intention of making a seal.

Therefore the first place to look for problems is at this joint.
