This may sound silly but how is your cars described on your log books.
The reason being that i have a 1971 traveller and where it says model on the log book it has morris 1100. Now i remember the 1100 as a diffrent model but this car apparently has always had this on the log books, so i was just intrested to know if anyone elses car is shown in the same way.
Thanks all
Mark

I had the same mistake on one of mine (along with a typo in the chassis number and the wrong engine size). Despite writing a VERY clearly worded cover note to the DVLA explaining exactly what needed correcting, they still managed to get it wrong (it now says Make: Morris 1000, Model/type: [blank]). It's less wrong than it was before so I've left it alone.

Unusual for it to say Morris 1100 - that really IS a different car - do the other numbers etc match up with the stampings on the car ??

Hi
Yes everything else matches, in fact i was working on it the other day and two very large police men walked onto the drive with a man from a recovery tuck, apparantly he had dropped a traveller a couple of streets away a few days before and it had gone missing. After seeing a traveller on my drive covered up they had all turned up to see if it was the stolen car, the police stood there and run a check on it and were happy enough to walk away.
I will have to send the log book back and see what happens.
Thanks for the replies

Should be fine then! You have a unique rear-wheel -drive Morris 1100!

Knowing the DVLA it will probably come back as a Ford Anglia!

I will get the log book changed eventually, but what neil said about his showing up on the mot as a mini minor reminded me of my dads mk2 range rover, its a 2.5D. When we take it for mot it shows up as a 4.6 westminster that only came in black, (dads car is gold)
It causes a bit of confusion in the mot station
