...I can finally get back to working on my car.

I'm really happy now as I finally did my last exam today, it means I'm free for the rest of the summer to get some work done on the car. I'm going to respray it all and rebuild it, also the suspension all needs redoing. Doesn't sound like much but I know its going to take me a while, I just hope it'll all be done before I go to uni in September.

Good luck. You will get there, eventually. Mine has only taken 5 1/2 years so far and it is still not finished yet.

I really don't think it's a good idea to take all that work on, it may well end up as an "abandoned project". You would be far better advised to practise on someone elses car first!
Now I think Halstead is a fairly straight run from Northampton, start at six in the morning and you should be here for breakfast. You can practise all your skills on mine, and I won't charge you for it (only consumables!)
You will find that a much more satisfying use of your time, I'm sure
Seriously, have fun "doing up" your car, it will surely be a summer to remember

the scary job is the paint once thats over its prity straight forward (i think)
make sure you get plenty pairs of hands to help you out to meet a deadline if you have one

Very true otherwise I'd be dead a long time ago for getting oily fingerprints all over the house

i think what realy did i it was when i left the kitchen an oily mess by washing engine parts in the sink without permission
my mum threatend to cut my hands off that day
i never made that mistake again!!!!!

If I remember rightly Andrew it was your dad that suggested I put my engine parts in the dishwasher!

And I thought I was bad for taking three years ... although it wasnt in THAT bad condition when I started ... still nowhere near finished though, but at least it's structurally sound now.

that reminds me of the time dad went out and bought a dishwasher just so he wouldn't have to clean his muddy engine parts - returned it the next week! at least his engine is clean though... he does things like that, even though we can't really afford it. silly dad.
