Anyone from the forum going along to Bridge of Allan on the 14th ? I gather no 'entry form' as such is necessary - just turn up at Strathallan Games Park.

Had this one down in my diary was hoping to pick up some parts from Tom Roy (who will be attending!) Unfortunatly my presence is required at a 13th birthday party! and yes I have tried every excuse to get out of it and all have failed so far!
By the way BMC I was at Thirlstaine car show yesterday and noticed a gold TR7! couldnt find the owner tho, should I have looked in the beer tent..............!

The 'Aran Beige' TR7 with Wolfrace wheels and black hood was mine - there was also a goldish TR8 with standard wheels and beige top - on the Triumph stand - not mine !
I'm planning having some Minor parts for sale along with me on 14th.
Just bring the 13 year old along to the show - more than enough excitement for a Birthday!
And I expect to be at the Moffat show -weather permitting!

I had planned to go, but my car is in bits preparing for a respray. It should be ready for Alford in July. I may turn up on the bike though.
There are 3 events that weekend I'd like to attend.

Not sure jolly - but probably 1098 half-engine, ribbed case gearbox, 12G295 head, set of latest type rockers, dynamo, control box (if I can find it) possibly a starter !! Good test for the rear suspension!

Oooooh "Arun Beige" eh! I was going to say a "beige" TR7 but thought you might take offence! (Only a british company would make a convertable "sports car" in "Beige" ) I had my 13yr old along with me at Thirlstaine and she definatly "wont" be coming to any more with me!!! What with burgers, cans of juice, ice creams, fairground rides etc etc..... almost had nothing left to spend at the autojumble :D Will you be taking your Morris or your Tr7 to Moffat? I hope to be attending but like you will wait and see what the weather brings!

Parts I have looked out for taking to Bridge of Allan show.
Half engine - 1098 - excellent condition, crank inspected/measured and found perfect - new shells fitted anyway since it had been opened up, bores look excellent - fitted with later Mini type timing chain with proper tensioner and crank damper.
Gold seal 1098 gearbox - appears excellent on inspection with side cover removed
12G295 cylinder head (ex MG 1100) - has been skimmed 80 thou and considerably modified
12G202 cylinder head (standard 1098 head) - bare casting - has been skimmed 100 thou
Rocker gear - excellent condition latest Mini type - eliminates 'tappety' noise from worn rockers!
Inlet /exhaust manifold - standard 1098 type
1.5" HS4 SU - modified as per Vizard - worked well on my car for many years
Speedo for 4.55 diff - 1508 tpm, black face
Speedo for 4.22 diff - 1408 tpm, black face
Starter motor - good condition
Dynamo - good condition
If anyone wants to 'reserve' any item - please contact me by PM .

bmc you are a star .. not that I will be attending, but you are great because you actively want to help the minor scene in scotland :D

Not that you dont want to help the scene elsewhere, but that you are doing something to help minor owners in your area.

I am just a bit bemused that the Scottish section haven't 'advertised' the event on here themselves - and few Scottish web forum posters have mentioned they are going along!

I also have 4.22 and 4.55 diffs - the 4.22 being a useful upgrade for a 948 engined car. But will only take these to BofA if anyone expresses an interest in them ?

Hmm - looks wet for saturday - perhaps not so bad on sunday! I won't be going unless the weather is at least 'promising'.

Well - only met two Forum members at the rally - GAS and jollyroger and badobsession was there although didn't get to talk - great to meet you both - and many thanks for that oil-pick-up pipe GAS ! The rest of you missed a good day out - even the rain storms skirted around the rally field very nicely!
Well organised Scottish Branch - many thanks.
