Sunday 14th June - Luton

Post by RogerRust »

I'm going to the Luton Festival of Transport LINK HERE

I've been for several years - always a good turn out.

Mike is organising the MM rally that weekend click here and they are going as well so perhaps others can park with them. Otherwise you'll find me in the endless lines of 1970's classics.

I'll bring the everlasting kettle and a cake this time.

The Herts Branch will also have its Gazebo there as well, probably in the club area.
Cheers

See you there. And hope the AA men will be in attendance!

Cheers Kevin, Last year I requested a site but it didn't seem to happen so I found an empty space and set up camp.

Why what do you intend doing, upset John Prestnell or something

Right Mike it appears that to get first choice of a site you have to go there on the Saturday and peg it out, well I can assure you that the only ones that do that are the very large clubs that attend.
What they will let us do is pick a suitable spot on the day are first members get there around 10:30 and set the gazebo up along with the branch banner at the moment I think we only have 6 cars coming from the branch but allow for 10 to accomodate the odd visitor (like squiggle and her 3 AA patrolmen) do you know roughly how many are likely to come from the MM rally and we can allow the space to suit, or would it be better to leave it to the Saturday at your MM Rally as I will be there and I can let our chairman know and he can grab a space to suit on the Sunday if that's OK.
Cheers

OK 2 extra reserved.
And I know some don't think so but Jon is a good ringmaster and how he manages to talk for so long amazes me.
Cheers

It sounds as though it will be best to arrange things with you on Saturday as there are bound to be last minute entries and I will have a more accurate idea of numbers.

Not sure I like being called the 'odd visitor'

By odd I meant uneven numbers ie; 1 of you, 3 AA men that sort of thing
And you have to admit that last year you certainly had the biggest crowd around your car :o
Cheers

Considering it's only a few days now, who's supposed to have organised the weather?
