Ezmerelda got a New MOT today. The tester was right into old cars which helped, even popped the cover off the number plate light to make it work rather than fail it!! Also enjoyed seing her haring off round the garage yard for the brake test he was most impressed with the readings he got on his old fashioned dangly brake testing thingy. Must be a bit of an antique in itself as it came in a nice wooden box with the ferrodo logo on.

Only got one advisory on a noisy front wheel bearing.

Well done! another worry free year!
I saw one of those break testers at a boot sale a long time ago - it was £6, I wandered off then decided to have it, but you guessed it, it was gone! I've regretted it ever since!

Tapley meter - but really they should use the brake test rollers for the Minor - they only need to know the weight of the car, and that's hardly a secret! But well done on the MOT pass.

There is no legal requirement to use the rollers - It is at the testers discretion. My garage always uses the Tapley on the Minor and on the Landrover (as I've said before its permanent 4wd and the rollers will destroy the driveline).
