dizzy cap

for some reason i have a 45d type dizzy on the mog.i thaught i would clean the rotor arm.when i tool off the cap,the carbon bush fell out.so that means i did not have the rotor arm fully pushed home.good job i had a new spare in the draw.lesson learned be more carefull fitting rotor arm .

Carbon BRUSH - in the cap, fell out ?? It should be spring loaded and well located in the cap.

yes it did i dont know how the car ran,but its sorted now and a lesson learned.the cap that i took off was a intermotor one,i have got lucas on there now ,so hopefully it will be better quality.i have a high performance blue rotor arm from mini spares,so i should not get any failures.

Oh well -if it's BLUE - that will make all the difference !!!

it does not have the rivit on there ,that shorts out the current.

Carry a spare anyway - just in case!
