Morris Minor Owners Club

I'm trying to remove the drivers door handle from my 1953 series 2 and its not the same as the Haynes restoration manual. I've undone all the screws I can see but it won't fit through the hole in the door and come out. Can anybody please help me before I take an angle grinder to it!

It's a while since I removed one but I think you have to remove the door top and window channel beffore the lock will come out.
