Saloon or traveller exhaust on a van?

Has anybody ever done it? an extra hole in the rear cross member should do for a rear hanger.
The reason being I've got hold of a LCB manifold and need a big bore exhaust to go with it and cant find a van one anywhere (unless you know different).

I had a 3 branch manifold and a Burgess exhaust system which ran straight out the back on my van. Sounded great!
I don't know why Minor van exhausts come out the side, nothing else does.

I've run the exhaust out the back on a van.
It nearly gassed me

.
Nice and quiet unlike the standard set up but the exhaust gasses got trapped in the vortex that follows a van then they found their way into the interior via poor rear door seals.
It doesn't seem to affect travellers that I've driven but something to be aware of.

It did with my Taveller - until I fitted a short stainless extension to the tail-pipe to take the gases further back !
