Warwickshire +Cov enthusiasts sought for next branch meeting

The branch is nice and friendly and not at all purist or elitist or cliquey - it's for all members who enjoy their minors whether they like to DIY or not, or whether they prefer standard or modified, or looking shiney or 'well used'.

The branch needs to grow a bit, but that's already underway so now's a great time to start coming along.
Branch events are in the planning, including a club stand at the Town and Country show (IIRC it's now known as Stoneleigh show) and a steam rally + much more in the pipeline.

Next branch meeting will be at Styvichal Arms (aka the Harvester) on A45 in Coventry (1 roundabout east from the A46 to/from Warwick)
Time: 7:30 onwards (ideally before 8 ;-) if you don't want to miss much)
Date: Wednesday 27th May
Regular meeting date is last Wednesday of the month

A regular location will be rediscussed in the next few months to find somewere central to the members that's good for a meeting. Suggestions so far have been Meriden or a return to the Jag club in Coventry, but it's early days.

:D

Looks like somethings happening within Cov & District.

Good time to get on board and help shape the club to the requirements of the current and new members.

I'll be attending.

Hmm - Apparently there was some football on the 27th. (Well done Barcelona). And for those who made it to the meeting - well done ;-) It was nice to see a few more new attendees.

Hopefully the 24th June will be a football free night and we'll get a few more attendees. (although Jon and Lou already sent their appologies as they'll be busy on the run up to the National Rally)

So anyone in Warwickshire and Coventry who hasn't got a good excuse - please do come to the next meeting Wednesday 24th June at 7:30pm.
We are now back to the splendid venue in Allesley:

(just off A45, west of Coventry)

With all this fine weather it will be a good time to go and bring you're Minor with you.

See you there.

Good to see all of you last night along with Andy and Eric from Northampton and Ray's mate Kevin who recently drove all the way, none stop from Scotland in a M.M./Austin Pick-Up. 13 hours later he arrived in Leamington. (He's only just managing to straighten his legs again).

Welcome to Phil, new member, with his recently purchased 1962 Van.

It's too late in the year for the Cov & District branch to consider doing our own rally but we will be attending some local events. Watch this space for details as we hope to attract Minor owners from all area's to support.

For those that are going to the National, have a good trip and I look forward to hearing your travelling stories. Hope you don't get mixed up with all that Glastonbury traffic.
