Am I correct in thinking that OEW as used on Minors is paint code WT3 ? I believe there is a slightly different version of OEW with a different paint code - anyone know what that is ?? Also - does 'our' OEW have a RAL number ??

The body parts list shows old english white as WT.3 and gives a range of car serial numbers applicable.
It does not show any other codes for OEW but does list snowberry white as WT.4 I think this is simelar but less creamy.
There is also Cream YL.5 and Ivory YL.2 this appears at about chassis no 614093
Theres no mention of WT.2 but I guess this may have been superseded by WT.3???
Hope this helps

WT1 and WT2 were described as Frost White. I found this on this useful link;

That list matches what I thought with regard to Pale Ivory being YL1. I got my paint from the old Unipart place in Canterbury when I painted my Saloon and that was the part number they gave it.

I've been told (can't remember by whom may have been one of the Concours guys) that OEW (for wheels) is WT3 - slightly creamier than WT2.

Thanks all - I did think it was WT3 - I believe some Triumph models (TR3 etc) were painted with WT2 - and that was know as OEW to them. Tracking some paint on ebay - just want to be sure it's the correct stuff!

I used WT3 for my OEW tourer, Max Meyer had the equivalent code

Just a thought or whinge on this, I have two white minors, one is an earlier model in old english white (ivory cream) and one is Snowberry (old engilsh white for MG's), dont park them next to each other it makes the Snowberry one look dirty...

Im gonna paint it to a nice pale primrose yellow, ive seen the color on MG's and I think it will look good.

I used WT3 on my four door for the wheels and the radiator grill.
It looked right to me but I'm not good at colour matching.
