i have a 1965 green morris minor 1000 and I am hoping to make her look like she did back then. the seats are in need of re-covering and i have not found anyone who can do this. does anyone have any ideas for me please.
Also could anyone tell me if seats from a 1958 morris 1000 will fit mine as i have been offered some for a fair price

Yes - they'll fit, but the pattern of stitching may differ.i.e. the '58 car had broader panels on the seats, whereas the '65 model had the "pressed" pattern on the seats. Hope this helps a bit.

Hi april, I don't know where is best to get them recovered but i know that seats from a '58 will certainly fit a '65. Originally they would have a different pattern on the material but the seats are the same frames and same shape. Personally i prefer the late 50s seats to the 60s ones.

Newton surely do new seat covers ? But not cheap!!

Although - they do seem to have a 'sale' on the parts you need at the moment!

They are green - one set only -act quickly!

If its a traveller then the 50's covers will not fit a 60's car as the early seats were narrower by 1" on the base.
