i was wondering whether the wheel studs from an mgf fit the marina hubs? i have kanckered a thead on a stud and see now as a good opportunity to fit thicker studs. as i have MGF wheels it would make sense to use MGF studs me thinks...any experience or knowledge appreciated.

They are I believe Metro hubs - and they have just the same studs as Minis which are v similar to Minors!

Hi

The MGF / Metro studs are 12mm as opposed to 3/8 unf but are very simular in size especially as the marina stud has a wide shank. However given the cost / problem of getting a marina hub I decided against trying to put the mgf / metro 12mm stud in the same hole without getting it drilled out first..

If all you need is another marina stud let me know and i can try and "knock" one out of my rear hub and let you have it as i am going to be using mgf studs all round.

I have swapped the marina studs to thicker studs from a Montego and use wheel nuts from a 400 series rover. This suits the MGF wheels better.

thanks guys, the studs on the rear are bigger and have the same thread as MGF as i have put some nuts on there. the axle originally had montego wheels on it, so could perhaps be Montego studs too. the only issue i have is whether you can fit the stud through the hole in the hub.
GAS, did you need to do anything fancy to fit the montego ones?

that's great, thanks GAS, just checked and can't find studs anywhere for montego...
might buy these MGF ones and see if they will slot in easily...i am sure they won't and i'll have wasted my money, but hey, that's just seems to be what i do!!
