not sure whether this should bee here but anyway, been playing with mungo and I thought I would familiarize myself with the timing marks on the pulley wheel etc, so I jacked the car up and got underneath and the plate with the prongs for tdc etc are as follows, from the right... one large pointed prong, in the middle one small pointed prong, and on the left one pointed prong which I take it are the T.D.C.marker points. Am I right in thinking that the large prong is the actual TOP DEAD CENTRE to be used for the static timing ? or is there a different meaning to them.

Yes - that's TDC = handy down there isn't it - NOT!
But you don't need to know TDC anyway - just adjust the dizzy by hand for best idle - then check there is no pinking.

The long prong is TDC and the other two are 5deg and 10deg before TDC but unless you really get in a mess as BMC says forget about it as you can't see them accurately enough to be of any use.
