Hi, I have just got my van on the road. It is about to be sign written and also I am fitting new leaf springs. I have spent the last 3 years (on and off) restoring this van. It required a lot of welding. New lower hinge panels both sides and new guttering around both doors were the worst bits. It was resprayed twice!!!! The first attempt cracked up like a road map..... that was a low point. Shut the garage door on it for a year then stripped it back to bare metal and sprayed with 2 pack!
This van is in daily use and I have found it surprisingly pleasant to drive. It has had many upgrades 5 speed box, heated inlet manifold, discs, heated screen, fibreglass back end, anti roll bar, electric fan, electronic ignition etc. The colour is, I think, Co-Op Blue. I am awaiting details from DVLC to find out more about it's past. It was formerly owned by Fast Lane in Sherringham and was brightly painted in there company colours. Looking forward to meeting some other members.
